The aquaculture litter is potentially managed by the fishermen's guilds. Besides, the port authority is responsible for managing the litter that is produced by the institution itself and it is in charge, although indirectly, of the management of all the waste that is produced inside the port authority installations.

This Port Authority manages the following ports: Val?ncia, Sagunto, Gandia. Regarding the litter produced by the Port Authority, there is a differentiation between hazardous waste (including, for example, batteries, toners and electronic waste, among others) and non-hazardous waste . Regarding the waste produced inside the installations, they have separate disposal points for multiple type of litter like large items, wood, plastic, glass, metal, paper and tires. They also take in consideration the marine litter that can be collected in the installations like buoys or wood. They also provide MARPOL service, Annex V among others.
