Responsibility measures

An increased awareness of all aquaculture stakeholders, especially the farmers, should imply a larger involvement of the sector in voluntary initiatives focused on reducing the impact of their economical activities (e.g. voluntary initiatives related to Fishing for litter).

  • High-level policy makers show little awareness of the necessity to develop specific decrees for the EPR system. Besides, an EPR system is very complex and needs the involvement of many sectors and many public and private institutions.
