Production of horticultural plastic from the reuse of HDPE floats from salmon cages

NCDC in Shetland had been active finding alternative use for redundant equipment from the aquaculture industry, which was either sent to landfill or was littering shorelines before 2008. NCDC incorporated the waste materials in the design of the hoops to grow more fresh food locally.
