End-of-life gear of aquaculture farms is normally well-recyclable, ALDFG not due to a very low quality after having been in the water for a long time. Focus on efforts on ALDFG.

  • ALDFG often contaminated (also with organic material) and entangled.

  • End-of-life gear's recyclabilty reduced if of mixed materials.

  • Althouhg ALDFG may consist of valuable pure PE, it is not re-usable anymore after having remained in the sea for a long time.
