Avoid market fragmentation: often Member States are taking individual initiatives, which leads to a fragmentation of the European market. Therefore more cooperation between the BSR countries is necessary to achieve a more comprehensive policy framework. With the growth of the industry it would be advisable to have the aquaculture specific non-biological waste disposal and material recycling systems in place (i.e. standards, solutions and procedures) to collect larger amounts of waste of the same material. It would be advisable to homogenize as much as possible the criteria of the multiple Spanish autonomous communities regarding waste management. Include or expand (depends on each autonomous community) the development of a non-organic waste management plan in the environmental authorization procedures and/or the Environmental Surveillance Plans (PVAs)
